How do I create a Crate & Barrel wedding registry?
Curating your gift registry should be fun, so we’ve made it simple to get started. Begin by filling out a few basic details on the Create a Registry page online or in the Crate & Barrel app. Then, simply add your favorite items, any time and anywhere. Discover themed one-click registries to help you quickly add essential groups of products, or browse the site to find the items that speak to you and your partner. You can also create an anniversary, housewarming or baby registry by following these same steps. See something you like while shopping in-store? Just ask an associate to help you add the items to your registry!
What should I put on my wedding registry?
Not sure what to put on your wedding registry? We have you covered with our Wedding Registry Checklist. To take full advantage but sure to select the category you’re interested in on the left, then click on a specific topic underneath. The box on the right will populate with our top picks and how much of each we think you’ll need. This checklist is also available as a PDF printout.
How do I find a specific Crate & Barrel gift registry?
You can search for a registry by using the registrant’s first and last names. Unsure of spelling? No worries. You can just enter the first few letters of their name to pull up a matching list of registries.
Please note that some registrants prefer not to post their wedding registry online. If you are unsuccessful in locating a registry, you can contact us to obtain a copy of a current gift registry by fax or mail. You can also access all registries in any Crate & Barrel store, except outlets, or call us at 800-967-6696.
What are some Crate & Barrel registry discounts?
There are several perks and discounts associated with creating a gift registry with Crate & Barrel, including a registry completion program that offers 15% off any Crate & Barrel products for up to six months after the event date. You’ll also get access to our Gift Registry Look Book and the opportunity to experience in-store Private Registry Events.
What are Private Registry Events?
Occurring twice a month on Sundays, Private Registry Events give you and your partner the opportunity to shop top registry picks before the store opens for the day. Not only do you get to chat with bridal registry experts who help make your registry uniquely yours, you also get a complimentary pair of stemless wine glasses as a “thank you” for attending.
Can I create and edit my gift registry online?
Yes and yes. You can create and edit your online gift registry at any time. Changes made online or in our stores will be posted within 15 minutes.
Does my registry show which gifts have been purchased?
Yes. All changes and purchases made to your gift registry on the website, in the app, in stores or through our call center will be reflected online within 15 minutes.
How soon will my gift or wedding registry be updated with my purchase?
Your wedding registry will be updated within 15 minutes of making an included purchase.
How do I make my Crate & Barrel gift or wedding registry available online?
There are two ways to make your Crate & Barrel registry appear online. You can either log into your Crate & Barrel account, then navigate to “Edit Registry Profile” under “Settings” on your list page. From here, scroll down until you see “Display Preferences” and select your preferred display option. Or, you can call us at 888-249-4155 to change a registry’s display settings.
What is a group gift fund and how does it work?
A group gift fund makes it easy for friends and family to contribute to more expensive wedding registry items. In order to contribute, navigate to the registry, look for a product with the “Group Gift” label. Click “Contribute to Group Gift Fund”, enter the dollar amount you’d like to give and click “Contribute”. This dollar amount is then added to a gift card that is sent to the registrant(s) for them to spend on the requested item(s). Registrants can use Crate & Barrel gift cards across both Crate & Barrel and CB2.
How do I create a group gift fund?
It’s easy. Once you’ve added an item to your registry and it appears on your registry list page, click on the product image to manage the item and select “Mark as Group Gift”. Then click “Save Changes”.
How long will my gift or bridal registry stay active after my event?
Your registry will remain active for eighteen months after your event date. If you need to access it after that, call us at 888-249-4155. Just give us your name, your co-registrant’s name (if applicable), registry number (if available) and the date of the event.
Beginning 1/10, registries with event dates after 1/10 will no longer archive 18 months post-event and will be accessible for the registrant.
What should I do if the registrant has received everything?
Most of our registrants indicate on their registries that a Crate & Barrel Gift Card makes for a great present. Just look for the “Gift Cards Welcome” prompt at the bottom of their registry. Select whether you want to send them a physical or digital gift card and enter the dollar amount you’d like to give. If you purchase a gift that’s not on the registry, you’ll need to provide us with the registrant’s shipping address. If you don’t have access to it, call us at 800-967-6696 and we will retrieve it from our files for you.
Can I register for Crate & Barrel Gift Cards?
Both physical and digital gift card options are automatically listed for purchase at the bottom of your registry list and displayed to friends and family. Please note, you will not be able to see the gift card option listed yourself if you are logged into your registry.
What if I get duplicates of a gift?
While our system updates your registry within 15 minutes, if not immediately, the occasional duplicate purchase may occur. If this happens, we will gladly help you return or exchange the gift.
If I create my gift or bridal registry online, will guests be able to access it in Crate & Barrel stores?
Yes. Your friends and family will be able to view your entire gift registry in your nearest Crate & Barrel store. They will also be able to see any changes and updates made within 15 minutes of their occurrence.
Can I choose seasonal items for my registry?
Crate & Barrel continually tries to bring new, contemporary and exciting designs to our customers. This means many of our items are seasonal. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee how long an item will remain available for purchase. If you choose to register for seasonal merchandise such as outdoor or holiday decor, we suggest that you see what is new for the season eight weeks before your event and make additions to your registry at that time. These seasonal items should be available when most of your guests are purchasing your gifts.
What is the Thank You Manager?
Our “Thank You Manager” keeps track of who has purchased what from your registry. This complimentary service makes it easier to keep track of presents received and thank you notes sent—helping you stay organized before your big day.
What is The Knot and why will my registry be displayed there?
The Knot is one of our online partners that offers another convenient way for friends and family to access your wedding registry. During the registry creation process, you can indicate whether or not you would like for your registry to be shown on The Knot. You can also email us or call 888-249-4155 and we will be happy to remove it from that website for you.
What do I need to maintain my registry on the Crate & Barrel app?
The app requires iOS 12.1 or later.
Is the Crate & Barrel App available for Android phones?
Currently, the Crate & Barrel app is only available for iOS devices.
What gift wrapping options are available?
During online or in-store checkout, you will be offered three options for gift packaging.
The first is “one box for all items.” If this is selected, all purchased gift registry items will be placed into a single box at an additional cost of $5.50. If your purchase does not fit into a single box or the product is fragile, we will use additional boxes at no additional charge.
The second is “one box for each item.” If this is selected, each purchased gift registry item will be placed inside its own box, at an additional cost of $5.50 per box. For online orders, gift registry items can only be added to their own box if they are put into your cart separately.
Both of the above options feature our distinguished black and white Crate & Barrel boxes with a grosgrain ribbon.
The third is no gift packaging, in which case, your gift will arrive in a standard Crate & Barrel box at no extra charge. Please note that certain items do not qualify for gift packaging, including those found at an outlet store.
No matter your choice, we will gladly enclose a gift message free of charge with any order. And none of the items will ship with price tags or other pricing information. As an additional courtesy, any item(s) selected for a gift box or with a gift message will not have prices displayed on the packing slip.
Why does the site request two shipping preferences: Before the Event and After the Event?
Many registrants move to a new address between the time they register and the date of their event. We request two shipping addresses to accommodate this change of residence.
What if I haven’t decided where I want my presents shipped? Can I change this information at a later date?
Yes. You can change your shipping information at any time simply by logging into your registry and clicking “Edit Registry Profile” under “Manage My Registry.”

Do you have a wedding registry completion program?
Yes. After your event date, you'll receive a 15% Completion Card. Our completion program goes beyond your gift registry to any item in the store for a full six months after your big day. And you can use your registry discount as many times as you'd like; redeem it in stores, online or by phone at 888-249-4155. (Make sure your "After the Event" address is current on your registry so you won't miss out.)
How do I redeem my 15% Gift Registry Completion Certificate online?
To redeem your 15% Completion Card online, your event date must have already passed. If it has, log in to your account, go to "Manage My Registry" and start adding items from your registry to your Cart. Your 15% Completion Savings will be calculated automatically during checkout. And remember, in addition to redeeming your card online, you can also redeem your registry discount in stores for six months.Your code will expire after 6 months past your event date.
Can I add CB2 items to my Crate & Barrel gift registry?
Yes! Now you can add items from both Crate & Barrel and CB2 with one simple sign-in and thousands more gift options. To add CB2 items to your Crate & Barrel registry, go to your registry list page, click “Add CB2 Registry Items” and follow instructions to cross over to your registry list page on the CB2 site. Once you cross over to CB2 you can now start adding CB2 items to your registry!
What is the difference between a registrant and a co-registrant?
The registrant is the primary person responsible for managing the registry. Registrants must submit contact and shipping information. The co-registrant is not required to submit this information. Both can add, edit and delete the registry.
What browser do I need to access Crate & Barrel’s gift registry online?
The browsers we recommend for the best experience are Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and AOL. Out of date versions of these browsers may struggle to properly display the website. To make sure yours is updated, download the current versions using the links below

What do I do if there are errors in my submitted information?
The Crate & Barrel website is designed to tell you exactly what you need to do to enter your information properly. Error messages will appear in bold red type at the top of the page. If you see this, review your entries to make sure that all required fields are properly completed. If they are not, correct any errors or fill in missing answers and click “Continue.” From here, you should be able to proceed.
Can I add an item to my registry that is currently on backorder?
Absolutely. We will expedite completion of your gift order as soon as possible. And don’t forget to check your nearest store to see if they have the item in stock.
