Wedding Planning Tips
1. Sit down with your partner and physically write down each of your top priorities when it comes to your wedding celebration. This way, you’ll see what you align on and what you differ on, as well as where to allocate more of your resources vs. where to save a bit.
2. Do not be so tied to tradition that you are afraid to infuse your joint personality into your day. Play with things like the timeline of the day, the music, and even some of the inclusions to plan a day that emulates you as a couple. This means you may add a mini welcome reception with cocktails prior to your ceremony, or trade Canon in D with your favorite country tune. Incorporate traditions that are important to you and add some of your own along the way!
3. Smaller weddings are here to stay! If there is one silver lining of this past year, it is that we all have seen the benefits of a more intimate gathering. It is entirely okay to keep your celebration small and personal if that is what you envision. Don’t worry so much about traditional guest list etiquette and plan a day that feels right to you and your partner.
