Named after Dessie, an Ethiopian city in a region known for its stunning textiles, this pillow makes a dynamic impression with neutral color and subtle patterning. Black stripes punctuated with woven white dots reference patterns seen in traditional gobi blankets, lining up in graphic contrast to the sand-colored background. Each handwoven pillow is made of supersoft Ethiopian cotton and neatly finished with knife-edge tailoring and a nearly invisible zipper. A plush microfiber insert is included.
Born in Ethiopia and based in New York, designer Hana Getachew started Bolé Road Textiles out of desire to merge her love of Ethiopian handwoven fabrics with a career in interior design.
