Named after one of the five gates that surround Harar, the Argo pillow pays homage to the Ethiopian city's architectural legacy. A white weave floats contrasting grid lines over black, referencing the bold look of mid-century modern graphic design. The handwoven pillow is neatly finished with knife-edge tailoring and a nearly invisible zipper. A plush microfiber insert is included.
Born in Ethiopia and based in New York, designer Hana Getachew started Bolé Road Textiles out of desire to merge her love of Ethiopian handwoven fabrics with a career in interior design.
