Happy picnic season, all! It’s August, so you better believe we’re spending every second we can outside. Alllll the al fresco meals, please! When it comes to entertaining during the most awaited season of sunshine, pretty much every outing turns into an occasion. Even if you’re just headed out for a picnic lunch to catch up with a couple pals! So let’s take a little tour through some of our fave Wedding Registry picks that will help you make the most of the summer months, shall we? Starting with the ever-sweet Leather Handled Picnic Basket (one of our fave bridal shower gift ideas from spring)…
OK, so while you may not stray *too far* from your own abode (backyard parties are kinda our fave around here, anyway) with those gorgeous newly acquired Registry finds from the Prospect Collection, a few key pieces like this wood base dome server will not only elevate a summer party just so, but actually protect the good while you sit back, sip rosé, and revel in all that is summer. The Prospect Serving Board with Glass Dome (pictured at the very bottom of this post) is another way to keep bugs off of your food while picnicking, but more on that later!
Weck 18 oz. Canning Jars are such as easy peasy (and pretty!) way to pack and serve that fresh summer fare. Layer up a serving of salad (keep the greens on top to prevent soaking them before you serve) in each jar and pack a few with different fruits, cheese, and snacks for easy transport. Don’t forget a towel or two!
These classic canning jars will totally become a staple in your kitchen for meal prep, on-the-go lunches- and yep, canning + preserving, too- so be sure to add four to six to your Registry so you have a whole set.
Remember last month when we introduced our paper party line? Talk about a perfect occasion to break out those goodies! Obviously a picnic isn’t the occasion you want to be hauling tons of dishware around for, so packing a few easy party goods like paper plates, napkins, and straws is another way to keep things simple.
