To create Celeste, we scanned an unfinished vintage painting and repainted and filled in the gaps with digital tools.The resulting silhouetted botanical motif was surfaced printed with traditional 19th-century machinery that leaves behind a raised layer of paint to give the paper the look of traditional block printing.
