Responsibly designed pillows. Using leftover denim and clothing scraps, The New Denim Project® gives new life to discarded fabric that otherwise would have gone to waste. Through a circular manufacturing process, the fabric scraps are cleaned, shredded, mixed and spun into yarn to create new textile designs. (Even the fiber byproduct from the process is passed on to coffee growers to use as compost.) Intricate black twill tape lines—handwoven by highly skilled artisans with incredible attention to detail—with frayed detailing stripe ivory denim for a modern organic look. The cotton throw pillow cover mixes and matches beautifully with the coordinating pieces in this collection. Fill our exclusive lumbar pillow cover with a plush feather or lofty down-alternative insert (sold separately).
As part of our commitment to explore ways to replace single-use consumption with circular projects and products, we're excited about our exclusive collaboration with The New Denim Project. This family-owned textile mill in Guatemala is committed to closing the loop on the concept of waste through thoughtful upcycling processes while preserving traditional crafts.
