Leanne Ford’s Family Margarita
1 shot lemon juice
1 shot lime juice
1 shot Cointreau
1/2 shot agave
1.5 ounces tequila (Depends who's pouring! Beware of my husband’s margaritas!)
Don’t forget to add salt and a lime to the rim.
Leanne Ford, the design star behind our bestselling Leanne Ford for Crate and Barrel collaboration, is known for her playful, easygoing approach to modern interiors. But if there’s one thing she’s serious about, it’s music.
Music is always on at Leanne’s new Pittsburgh home, which she shares with her husband and toddler daughter and where spontaneous get-togethers are the norm. The designer’s taste spans from classic rock to folk to indie country. When she makes one of her famous playlists, she chooses tracks for their ability to set a mood that’s cool, welcoming and laid-back—just like Leanne.
Want to recreate the vibe for your next at-home happy hour? All you have to do is put on this Spotify playlist she made just for us—aptly titled “Making Wine Time Such a Fine Time.” It’s inspired by the effortlessly relaxed approach to entertaining Leanne saw when she visited Portugal to create these gorgeous new serving pieces, and it’s just the right soundtrack for lounging, sipping and catching up over a family-style dinner or simple cocktails and bites.
Thanks to Leanne for providing two of her favorite recipes to pair with this playlist and get the party started!

From Leanne: “Grab your finest small bowls and randomly place them on a large board, then fill each one with the spreads first: hummus, baba ghannouj, then mixed nuts, olives, etc. Next, fold the meats and stack next to each other making fun patterns. Add the plantain chips and/or crackers of your choice. Then, add the rest of the ingredients, adding fruit last to fill in any gaps on the board. There is no wrong way to do this. Have fun with the colors, shapes, sizes and form everything into small clusters all over the board. Enjoy!”
